To go to this beautiful place in North Sumatra, can be taken approximately one hour by private vehicle from downtown Medan which is 40 Km.

Flora is found one of them angsana tree (pterocarpus indicus), sono kembang (dalbergia latifolia), glands (samanea saman), nyamplung (Calophyllum inophillum), meranti (shorea sp), palm, betel nut and jungle tree. There are also carrion flower (Amorphophallus titanium) as well as spreading plants. Medium fauna that live there are also various kinds. Which often approached visitors generally apes and langurs. Animals named cuscus, wild pigs, pangolins, mouse deer and various types of birds, such as hornbills, kutilang, kacer, srigunting and so forth also occupy this nature reserve. In th. 1914 Mr. J. A Lorzing built the Sibolangit Botanical Garden, as a branch of the Bogor Botanical Garden. Then on March 10, 1938 Location Sibolangit Botanical Garden was declared its status to be Nature Reserve based on Letter of Provisions Z. b No. 37 / PK. It was not until th. 1980 according to the Letter of the Minister of Agriculture No. 636 / Kpts / Um / 9/1980 some locations Sibolangit Nature Reserve (area of 24, 85 Ha) is converted to use the location of Sibolangit Park. With that location Sibolangit Nature Reserve only 85, 15 Ha and until now there has been no turnover.
FLORA AND FAUNA
The potential of vegetation is not much different from that of Sibolangit Park, dominated by big trees such as Angsan (Pterocarpus indicus), Nyamplung (Calophyllum inophillum), Meranti (Shorea sp), and others. Also there are type of palm plant and areca nut, durian jungle.
